Ramina Odishoo delivers strategic solutions to C-suite stakeholders across the areas of M&A, complex commercial transactions, commercial operations, contracting, procurement, and vendor relations. Businesses of all sizes turn to Ramina and her partners on the CFDB team for outside general counsel support to help them secure funding, strengthen supplier relationships, and create strategic plans that drive growth. Ramina is committed to the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. 

Prior to joining CFDB, Ramina worked as Senior Legal Counsel at Aon, where she served as a C-suite advisor and drafted and negotiated agreements including master service agreements, consulting agreements, and other contracts related to confidentiality, non-disclosure, outside partnerships, sponsorships, brokerage agreements, and more. She took on a national leadership role for Aon’s diversity and inclusion team. Prior to her work at Aon, Ramina also served as Associate Attorney at Axiom, with secondments to Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. and Baxter Healthcare Corporation.

Community involvement also plays a key role in Ramina’s professional life. She is a member of the American and Illinois Bar Associations, ABA Young Lawyers, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the United Nations Women—Chicago Chapter, the Assyrian American Bar Association, and was a Board Member in 2020 for the Coalition for Women’s Initiatives in Law. 

Ramina received her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She also received a master’s degree in Business Law from Freie Universität Berlin, a program heavily focused on competition and regulatory issues within the European Union, particularly within the energy sector. This unique body of knowledge positions Ramina to advise clients working across the globe.
