Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Counsel / Partner
We are seeking an accomplished Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is a skilled generalist who thrives on helping clients solve compliance, plan design, risk management, and correction issues related to their employee benefit programs. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of benefits matters for a diverse client base while collaborating with talented colleagues in a collegial and supportive environment.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active law license in Illinois or state of residence
- At least 8 years’ experience with:
- Executive Compensation, including executive employment, deferred compensation, change in control, severance and other compensation-related arrangements
- Health and welfare plans and qualified retirement plans
- Employee benefits and executive compensation in the context of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions
- Executive compensation for start-ups and growth stage companies
- A range of equity incentive plans (such as stock option plans, restricted stock plans, and phantom equity plans)
- Proactive problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong collaborator and communicator with good analytical, writing and communication skills
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment that is on a growth trajectory

Compensation
Base salary of $300,000-$450,000, depending on experience and hours commitment, with competitive bonuses paid annually.
