Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres is proud to announce our status as a certified Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women. CFDB is now the largest WBENC-Certified WBE law firm in Chicago and, based on available data, one of the top-five largest in the United States.
The process for a business to become WBENC-certified is meticulous and includes applications, reviews, and interviews to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by women. The WBENC certification standard is recognized as one of the most rigorous certification processes for women-owned enterprises.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is one of CFDB’s core values. The business community, and especially the vibrant and growth-oriented companies we serve, also recognizes that diverse and inclusive teams, like the one at CFDB, reliably out-perform more homogenous ones. It is through this kind of like-minded partnership that DEI goals are achieved.
We have worked hard to create an environment at CFDB where women, along with other lawyers and staff from underrepresented groups, can truly thrive, and we are proud to have earned a certification that reflects our values.
We are a leader in our profession in diversity and inclusion, and appreciate the same commitment to diversity our clients, other corporations, and government agencies embrace. We are proud to contribute to our clients’ goals, as often reflected in their values statements, ESG scores, diversity spend, and related diversity goals.
