Partner
David Diorio is a Partner at CROKE FAIRCHILD DUARTE & BERES, where he advises domestic and multinational companies on the design and execution of sophisticated business immigration strategies. He counsels clients across the healthcare, finance, artificial intelligence, engineering, renewable energy, telecom, sports, and entertainment industries, helping them secure and retain executive and mission-critical foreign national talent while navigating a rapidly shifting regulatory landscape.
David is known for his deep experience guiding employers through both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes, including high-stakes and specialized matters such as O-1 petitions, National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions, EB-1A and EB-1B petitions, and J-1 waiver applications. He regularly works with large healthcare systems, physicians, researchers, startups, and foreign entrepreneurs—particularly in the technology and engineering sectors—developing tailored immigration strategies aligned with business growth and operational needs.
In addition to his employer-sponsored visa practice, David advises employers on I-9 and E-Verify compliance, government audits and investigations, and immigration-related due diligence in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, outsourcings, and private equity investments. He has represented multinational consulting firms in Department of Labor Wage and Hour investigations and managed large-scale PERM labor certification programs for major green card sponsors.
David earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School, where he received the Jessup International Moot Court Award, and his B.A. in English from Wake Forest University. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is admitted to practice in Illinois.
