David Rivelli has successfully litigated claims on behalf of a broad variety of clients, guiding them through jury trials, arbitrations, and administrative hearings. With a special focus on commercial litigation and media law, David handles matters involving breach of contract, fraud, probate and will contests, cybersecurity and data protection, professional liability, wrongful termination, civil forfeiture, theft of trade secrets, and construction disputes. His former firm, Prendergast Layden, combined with CROKE FAIRCHILD DUARTE & BERES in 2023.

David also serves as an adjunct professor in legal writing at his alma mater, Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While in law school, David was awarded the Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in trial advocacy, an award given to a select group of students who demonstrate  superior trial advocacy ability.

In addition to his legal background, David has experience as a journalist. While at Medill, David was awarded the Deborah Orin White House Correspondents’ Association Scholarship.

He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois, and lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife and three daughters.
