James Cho is a Law Clerk at CROKE FAIRCHILD DUARTE & BERES. He is currently a second-year law student at DePaul University College of Law.
James earned his bachelor’s degree from New York University, graduating with an individualized major in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, and a minor in Environmental Studies. At NYU, James interned at various startups and institutions focused on social and environmental impact.
Before law school, James worked at New Village Gastropub, helping establish the award-winning restaurant as one of the best in the Chicagoland area and as a legal intern at Mirae Law, gaining experience in various corporate/private client legal matters.
At DePaul Law, James is the Vice President for Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), a Member of the Moot Court Society, a Staff Editor of Law Review Vol. 76, and a Member of the Business Law Clinic. He received the CALI Excellence For The Future Award for the top grade in Legal Analysis, Research, and Communications (LARC) II.
In the summer of 2026, he joined Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres as a Summer Associate, further deepening his practical understanding of the legal field.
