Jesse Dodson is Of Counsel in Croke Fairchild’s Real Estate Practice and focuses his work on sophisticated land use, zoning and entitlement projects and real estate transactions, including complex mixed-use developments.

Jesse is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Montana and has extensive real estate transactional and development experience in both states.

Jesse practiced law at DLA Piper in Chicago for over 15 years, working on numerous high profile land use and real estate transactions, including trophy office towers in the nation’s largest cities to national portfolio real estate transactions exceeding $1 billion in value. Jesse has worked on many notable planned development projects in Chicago including the proposed Chicago Children’s Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago’s Modern Wing expansion, the rehabilitation and renovation of Wrigley Field, NEMA Chicago, the Lycée Français Chicago, redevelopment plans for the U.S. Steel South Works site, and the redevelopment of Lincoln Park Hospital.

Jesse also advises clients on real estate transactions, urban mixed-use developments, and subdivisions. Notable projects in Montana include multi-family condominium and apartment projects in downtown Bozeman and Missoula, and land transactions and subdivisions in Missoula and the Flathead Valley. Jesse also teaches the land use and development course at the University of Montana law school in Missoula.

Jesse is actively involved in organizations promoting public transportation and affordable housing. Jesse serves on the boards of his local community land trust and public transportation authority.
