Josh Steinman is a partner and head of the Venture Capital & Founders practice at Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres.  Josh advises venture capital investors, emerging companies and founders on strategic decision-making, financings, M&A, joint ventures, reorganizations, and corporate governance matters. Josh counsels companies at all stages, from formation / pre-seed through later stage / pre-IPO, and all investor profiles, including angel investors, venture capital fund managers, institutional investors, and corporate venture capital arms of Fortune 500 companies. Josh’s extensive experience advising investors and companies spans a variety of industries, including food and beverage, technology, life sciences, logistics, fintech, e-commerce, and real estate.

Prior to joining the firm, Josh was the Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs for ZX Ventures, the investment and innovation arm of Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he oversaw venture capital, M&A and joint venture investments, celebrity partnerships, licensing arrangements, and dispute resolution matters. In addition, Josh advised ZX Ventures and its internal founders on the launch and management of numerous internal ventures and new businesses. Clients engage Josh because of his commercial approach, market knowledge, technical capabilities, and creative approach to deal structuring.

Prior to ZX Ventures, Josh was a senior corporate associate in the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he was involved in some of the most high-profile and complex global M&A, capital markets and real estate transactions in the market.

In addition to his corporate work, Josh is involved in a variety of pro bono matters, which have included the representation of asylum seekers through their immigration proceedings, and members of underrepresented groups with name changes and family law issues.
