Phillip Acevedo is a partner in the Firm’s corporate practice. He advises founders, venture-backed companies, investors, and acquirers, counseling on mergers and acquisitions, venture and growth-equity financings, and corporate matters across the business lifecycle.

Clients engage Phillip early to shape the strategy, structure, and risk of prospective transactions—whether a financing for an emerging company, the sale of a mature growth business, or a joint venture among partners. He is known for thoughtful judgment, a collaborative approach, and clear, confident guidance through consequential decisions.

Phillip earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his A.B. from Harvard College. He is based in Chicago and serves on the Board of Directors of the Grant Park Music Festival and the Harvard Club of Chicago.
