Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres Partner Jessica Fairchild was a featured panelist for a recent Law.com webinar titled “Mid-Market Spinoffs: Opportunities and Risks When Breaking Off from Bigger Firms.”

Mid-market firms made up of talented lawyers who broke away from much larger firms have seen great success over the past 15 years. Their ability to offer high-caliber lawyering in a much leaner, less bureaucratic environment allows these firms to attract big clients and carve out strong market share. However, not all succeed.

Panelists were asked to draw on their personal experiences to discuss the keys to spinning off and succeeding, while also discussing the potential drawbacks and difficulties that spinoff firms should be aware of.
