Shannon Leutheuser is a partner at CROKE FAIRCHILD DUARTE & BERES. Shannon’s practice focuses on the formation and structuring of private investment funds and she has broad experience advising private fund sponsors across the fund lifecycle, including with respect to upper-tier structuring, financings, and secondary transactions and liquidity solutions. In addition, Shannon advises venture capital investors, emerging companies and founders with respect to venture capital financings and general corporate matters.

Shannon was previously a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she advised fund sponsors with respect to the formation and operation of premier buyout, growth equity, venture capital, technology and other private investment funds, as well as the organization, structuring and operation of their management companies. Shannon’s practice is informed by over a decade of in-house experience, most recently as General Counsel of Valtruis, a WCAS company, where she supported building, investing and partnering with early-stage companies in the healthcare industry. Shannon also served as General Counsel and Managing Director of Sandbox Industries, where she led all legal and compliance matters related to a platform of venture capital funds focused on healthcare, insurtech and food and agriculture.

Shannon received her J.D. from Washington University School of Law and graduated with a Master and B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
