Andrew (“Andy”) Gilbert is a Partner focused on private company transactions, private equity and general corporate matters. Prior to joining CROKE FAIRCHILD MORGAN & BERES, Andy was a Senior Associate at Hogan Lovells US LLP based in their Washington, D.C. office where he focused on strategic and financial mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs and fundraising for both public and private companies of varying sizes. Andy has advised on transactions ranging in size from a few million up to $40 billion USD.
Prior to Hogan Lovells US LLP, Andy was a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Greenberg Traurig LLP focused primarily on private equity M&A transactions, corporate governance, transaction financing and general corporate matters.
Prior to law school, Andy worked at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Northern Utah, which is what led him to seek out corporate law as a primary practice. Corporate transactions are the apex of where business meets law, making it one of the most vibrant and interesting practice areas. His focus on private equity has given him robust exposure to many different businesses and industries, ranging from high-tech, food service, aerospace, medical device, SaaS, insurance, oil and gas and many others. Andy has a strong sense of ownership over his projects and emphasizes that same commitment across the entire deal team. He knows how to break down complex projects and tasks into easily digestible action plans for clients and other service providers.
